It was Ed Nelson tucked in behind Moyer on the restart, looking for the opportunity for the pass when the race resumed.

Nelson had to be content with second place, third was Pat Fagen, fourth went to Bret Moyer and Rick Clark rounded out the top five. The lap feature got off to a poor start when a huge pile up occurred in turn four before one lap had been scored, eliminating several cars.
